On behalf of the Tappahannock Rotary Club, I would like to thank everyone that helped to make the 7th Annual Croaker Tournament a success and an event the community can be proud of. I would like thank the sponsors whose generous support provided the financial backing for the event, the workers who gave generously of their time to make the event run smoothly and most of all I would like to thank each of the participants. Whether you were returning veterans of the tournament or participating for the first time, whether local residents or the out of state friends we have come to know through the years, we sincerely appreciate your support of this event, the community and Rotary International. Through our collective efforts, we have been able to fund projects including scholarships for higher education, support for medical clinics, food banks, women’s services, historic preservation, local youth organizations and efforts to eradicate polio worldwide. I hope everyone had a great day on the water with your families and friends and we look forward to seeing you again next year. I want to extend a special thank you to this year’s weighmaster, past chairman and the visionary that got this project started, Jim Wawner.
Thanks!
